M. Salayi

M. Salayi is a professional landscape and portrait painter from Canada, residing in Edmonton, Alberta. Art has been a part of his life since his early childhood. When he began his initial art training he focused on sketching sharply.

His work has been represented in several galleries in Canada such as Westmount Gallery in Toronto, Eldon Gallery in Kitchener Waterloo & the gallery on main in Lacombe Alberta. He has received multiple accolades for his works, namely, second prize winner for a sidewalk art competition in Kitchener Ontario in 1999, and interviewed by the media such as Rogers TV Channel in Kitchener Waterloo during 2004, as well as by Alternative Trends Magazine in Alberta 2010. Multi-medium painter, M. Salayi composes his art with oil, acrylic, gouache & casein, producing in a representational style with a unique genre which combines realism as well as impressionism together with brave brush strokes.

M. Salayi is an art instructor, among other things. He has taught in many areas, such as Northgate Lions Seniors Recreation Centre, Central Lions Senior Association, City Arts Centre in Alberta, Wellington Centre for Continuing Education in Guelph Ontario, and Waterloo Arts Community Centre in Ontario. Additionally, he has presented his work in many solo or group shows in Canada and abroad. His paintings and portraits are collected throughout Canada and abroad. He is a member of the California Art Club and the Edmonton art club.
