Painting has literally opened up the world to me. I have travelled across Canada with painting, ventured into France and Italy with workshops and made dear friends from these experiences.
I will always love and be grateful to the Edmonton Art Club for accepting me when I was so green, for providing a solid safe place to meet other artists, learn from the professionals and display my work.
As much as I love the broad landscape, I am deeply stirred by a small mushroom growing under a fallen log, a group of leaves catching the sun and wild flowers hiding in grasses. For me, painting is more than a deep love; it is a responsibility and an obligation. I feel it is my job to show others “the colour purple”.
