Mohamed hails from Uganda, Africa. He spent most of his childhood years in neighboring Kenya where he developed a love of the outdoors and an appreciation of the natural world, especially after climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.
After moving to Canada, Mohamed developed an interest in painting as a way to manifest the images and colours of his childhood.
Mohamed strives to engage the viewer by transporting the observer into the scene of his painting so they experience the scent of the florals, hear the rustling of the leaves in his landscapes, feel the chill in his snowscapes and hear the crashing of the waves in his seascapes.
He values scrutiny of his artwork by his wife, who is his most fervent supporter and his children, who are his harshest critics.
Mohamed first love is watercolours, but he also paints in oils, acrylics and pastels.
