For the last 8 years my creative muse has been Edmonton’s river valley and Canada. My Edmonton series of stairs leading to our valley and trails were unveiled and a featured exhibit for The Works Arts and Design Festival at City Hall.
My work has been described as “dancing, dancing with light. Your eye sort of flicks across from highlight to highlight, it’s a joy”, by Ward 4 City Councillor and Artist Aaron Paquette. I describe my unique painting style as contemporary neo-impressionist realist and organically discovered it when I was experimenting in art class in middle school. Since then, I have continued to develop it and to grow as an artist. I paint primarily with acrylics; however, I love using oils, pencil, charcoal and pastels as well. In a lifelong quest to learn about all forms of art and specifically about my style of painting, I have travelled extensively in Western Europe and New York and have taken Art History through the U of A Faculty of Extension.
I have a passionate love for nature and all living things. My art is intentionally created using bright, happy colours to make viewers feel a sense of hope and joy.
