I have been a resident of Alberta since 1970. From 1972 to 1977, I attended the University of Calgary, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science.

I worked extensively in the hotel business and, beside my professional duties, I developed an active interest in the arts, resulting in a voluntary position as a docent and later as a library assistant at the Edmonton Art Gallery.

Other Activities included taking drawing and painting lessons at the Edmonton Art Gallery. My first instructor was Ron Myren, who introduced me to the use of colours and rhythms in nature.
