Born in Yellowknife, N.W.T, I grew up around the beautiful northern landscape, where I would find myself sketching for hours outside. At ten years old, my family moved to the exotic beauty of Grand Cayman Island.

Returning to live in Edmonton, I have participated in art classes in school and when I have found time elsewhere, but consider myself to be mostly self-taught.

I have found a deep appreciation for the varied cultures and environments I have experienced and have allowed this natural education to influence the openness of my creative expression.

My creativity comes from a true sense of who I am, and is often an outlet for expression; I enjoy experimenting with multi media, interpreting how and what I feel at that time; trusting my intuition. I use papier-mâché mixed with other recyclable objects to make strong statements – about my emotions, our environment and the world around me, including my hopes, dreams, and the challenges I face as a woman, parent and partner in this life.

I strive to be true to myself and not to be afraid to express myself through multi media. I would also like to experiment with sculpture, allowing my natural education and expression to evolve where it needs to.

Currently I work as a registered social worker and have earned my Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Calgary. I encourage people around me to use art as a healthy way of expressing and healing themselves.
